Half-Life 2 - Zombie Panic Mod Graduates to Source

One group of modders put New Year celebrations on hold to bring gamers an upgrade of their celebrated Zombie Panic Mod from the original Half-Life. Zombie Panic: Source for the PC version of the game launched on the last weekend of 2007. Given that there will be a new Romero-directed Zombie film, Diary Of The Dead, in cinemas in mid February (US) and the beginning of March (UK), it's perfect for playing in its own right if you haven't experienced Dead Rising on the 360 or the latest Resident Evil entry on the Wii. Simple survival is the aim of the game for a set time and since only one person has to be a zombie at the beginning, that sounds simple on the surface. However when you end up dead, you will naturally switch sides.

We're very impressed with the mod even in Beta form, whose single showstopping bug isn't enough to ruin the fun - you simply log back into the server - and which can be enjoyed on comparatively high pings at present. Give the mod a try here.
