There was only real action at the top of the Xbox 360 Charts; Halo Wars dug in and retained the top spot but the newest entry, Tom Clancy’s HAWX, flew up to no.2 in its release week, knocking Streetfighter down to 3. NFS Undercover and Fifa 09 were this week’s climbers at 8 and 10 from the EA stable. From ActiBlizzard, CoD 5/World at War rose to 4, but Modern Warfare was a non-mover at 9. Outside the Top 10, EA also had some upward movement with Left 4 Dead inching upwards to 15 and Dead Space re-entering the chart at the bottom

It was the same pattern on the PS3 – long awaited AAA title Killzone 2 stayed at the top, but Tom Clancy’s HAWX was the new entry once more and it also put Street Fighter IV down to 3 on Sony’s console as well. It’ll be interesting to see if the game can perform the hat trick with the PC version due in a week and a half. There were no other new entries and no established titles breaking into the PS3 top 10 other than the new entry. GTA’s rise to 9 kept CoD 5 and 4 apart, at 8 and 10. LittleBigPlanet rose to midtable, whether this was down to price or its BAFTA nominations remains to be seen for another week. In the lower half of the chart, Square Enix had some cheer at seeing Tomb Raider Underworld rise three places to 15.

On the Wii, unsurprisingly the combination of stock and a new ad campaign and new apps has kept Wii Fit at the top and we expect it to be there until Ninty releases the next killer app to take over, unless Super Mario Galaxy enjoys a BAFTA bounce next week from its current position outside the top 20. Mario Power Tennis was a predictably high new entry at 3, knocking Mario and Sonic down by one, and was the only real new movement for the console this week, pushing the Disney’s Bolt Cartoon tie-in down to 11 as that film’s half-term buzz peaked and died. It remains to be seen whether it will bounce back for Easter.
