  • XBOX 360

On the Xbox 360, Halo Wars stormed into the no.1 position as expected, knocking last week’s chart topping new entry, Street Fighter IV, off the top. The Sega Mega Drive collection stuck at no.3, and the other 360 new entry this week was Silent Hill: Homecoming at 4.

Call of Duty World At War dropped to midtable, GTA IV was another non-mover at 6, Race Pro dropped five places to 7, pushing FIFA down to 8 but CoD 4 climbed five places back up to 9. This pushed our much-watched game 50 Cent Blood On The Sand, down to 10 after a fortnight. Aside from Cash on Delivery 4, the only existing title to gain sales in the top 20, was Tomb Raider Underworld and that only scraped back into the top 20 at the bottom.

On the PS3, Silent Hill Homecoming also landed at 4, just like the 360 version. The PS3’s top spot was taken by another in-house marquee franchise, KillZone 2, which took the runner up spot on the All Formats chart behind Halo Wars. This created the same spread of games at 2, 3 and 4 as on the 360. There was one extra climber in the 360 Chart, Fifa 09. This knocked the PS3 CoD 5 down to 6. LittleBigPlanet fell to 7, CoD 4 fell to 8, 50 Cent Blood On the Sand climbed one to 9 which pushed GTA IV down to 10.

Wii Fit, back in stock, remained top of the Wii Chart though it was knocked off the top of the All-Formats chart a week ago by Street Fighter IV last week, bringing its five week run at the top, to an end. That’s not bad for a peripheral you couldn’t buy without shortages a year ago, and we hope those problems never return.

In fact there’s been no change in positions 1 to 7 on the Wii Chart, the games below the Wii Fit board are Mario Kart Wii, House of the Dead Overkill, the perennial million-plus-selling Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Ben 10 Alien Force, Animal Crossing Let’s Go to The City, Guitar Hero World Tour. Disney’s Bolt was pushed to No.9 by the two new entries at 8 and 10 respectively: Family Ski and Snowboard and Winter Sports 2009: The Next Challenge. The final new entry on the Wii was Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, the long awaited Ninty version of Capcom’s 360 hit. Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party was the only game to climb in the latter half of the Wii Chart; Disney’s High School Musical Sing It was a non-mover at 20.
