PW Reviews - Fable 2
Saturday 22nd of November, 2008 - 19:10:59 GMT
Another quiet week on the frontlines of gaming news and once again the news team is bailed out by forum users keen to share their opinions on the latest and greatest titles, or at least one forum user keen to share his opinion. Check out this review of Lionhead's recently released Fable 2. Whilst the title didn't stay in the top spot of the charts for very long when it first came out, it is getting closer to Christmas and a purchase might be looking like a good option if you're after a light hearted game for the kids or yourselves to invest plenty of time in.

PW Reviews - Fallout 3
Wednesday 19th of November, 2008 - 14:36:43 GMT
It's time for another review from the denizens of Preys World, this time WMain00 shares his thoughts on Bethesda's Fallout 3. Released almost a month ago after fighting its way to the shelves through vast scepticism of simply being a rehash of Oblivion the game has met with a largely positive reaction from many of those naysayers.

PW Reviews - Saints Row 2
Monday 17th of November, 2008 - 17:27:29 GMT
With little industry activity to talk about right now and a hefty catalogue of games recently released or on the horizon we've got another review in store for you today. Released in mid-October, just before the big names of Fallout and Far Cry hit our shelves you might have picked up Saints Row 2 to tide you over until your most eagerly awaited titles were released or you might have skipped it entirely and spent the weeks twiddling your thumbs until said big names came about. If you're still undecided on whether or not this light hearted free form action game is for you then check this out.

PW Reviews - Mirror's Edge
Saturday 15th of November, 2008 - 18:17:50 GMT
With the current swarm of game releases overwhelming us this fall there are no doubt a few titles which might slip by unnoticed or some that we neglect to pick up so as to not hurt our bank balances too much. Mirror's Edge is one of the more recently released games which shows a lot of originality and promise but also many of you may be dubious over whether or not to actually pick up, especially considering a mix of fairly low scoring reviews. At a time like this it might not be a wise decision basing your decisions off of biased or overly dramatic reviews, instead it might seem that the best option is to trust feedback from real gamers who have already taken a leap of Faith (terrible Mirror's Edge pun). This sterling summary of Mirror's Edge first impressions from forum user WMain00 should lend you a helping hand.

PW Reviews - Submitting Your Reviews
Wednesday 24th of September, 2008 - 10:31:50 GMT
In a bid to get more people to share their thoughts with the rest of the world our great and wise leader has been scratching his noggin, pondering how best to go out allowing site members to seamlessly integrate with the main page. The spawn of such pondering is this; a brand new dedicated reviews section specifically designed to give forum users a viable way of sharing their opinions and pearly wisdom in a lasting format and not to simply disappear in the annals of a giant spam filled thread.
If you have a review; be it of a game, film, piece of hardware or Jacobs cream crackers, or just a retrospective essay summing up your thoughts on a particular matter then this is the place you’ll want to see your work. Naturally, because all articles will be appearing on the main page as well as the forum, we ask that you try to keep your work as swear-free as possible, achieve a decent standard of grammar and most importantly, be interesting to read.
In order to submit your work, please send a private message containing your article and links to all screenshots to a main page contributor; though ideally send it to all of us so that it’s more likely to be put up quickly, and we shall go about uploading it to the database and making sure the screenshots are displayed correctly.

Gamecube - The end is nigh!
Thursday 22nd of February, 2007 - 15:54:33 GMT
Production of the GameCube has ceased and first-party support has come to an end.

GameCube owners can say goodbye to any further software support from Nintendo; the platform holder has now confirmed that first-party software support for the console has come to an end.
Despite ending production of the GameCube and its software, Nintendo of America's Perrin Kaplan believes the console still has a market.
... just like the PS2 sold really well this past holiday, GameCube is a great starter system - price, ease, games, cost of games. Every one of the consoles has had its cycle and every single one of them has become a great starter system at the last leg of its cycle, and that's where GameCube's at, - Game Daily.
Of course, Wii owners can already play GameCube games thanks to the console's backwards compatibility. That said, gamers without a Wii in their lives could do a lot worse than spend their money on a bargain priced GameCube.
Gamecube - Pokemon Day!!!...
Friday 11th of August, 2006 - 10:21:12 GMT
The wacky sketch-comedians over at Olde English were going to film a sketch in New York's Bryant park this weekend when they ran smack dab into Nintendo's Pokemon Day. Instead of going home dejected, they made the best of the situation and did some improv Pokemon comedy on the spot.

Gamecube - Price cut incoming in USA
Tuesday 2nd of May, 2006 - 09:17:59 GMT
Last week Gamespot reported that the Nintendo GameCube was to undergo a price drop from its current $99.99 price and this week Best Buy have confirmed that such a drop is on the cards. One employee from the firm said that they have already printed up the advertisment for the price-cut which is due this coming Sunday. He also said that Nintendo reps had confirmed the drop in price.
As any price changes in the US eventually make it over here we could be about to see the GameCube on sale for around £50-£60. That is if you can find a store that stocks them.
